When I go on holiday, I take a lot of pictures, I also make 360° videos but what I was missing until now was the aerial view that a drone can offer. A friend once lent me a drone so I could familiarize myself with the aircraft, but I found it quite difficult to operate. Since this kind of device is quite expensive, I didn't take the risk of buying one until I found the Micro Drone 4 on Indiegogo. A 120€ drone equipped with a 1080p camera with a Sony sensor, I couldn't miss it.

Crowdfunding projects always involve a risk of not receiving the product purchased. I have financed no less than ten such projects without ever encountering any problems, but this may be the first project to fail. Production is constantly being postponed and many users have turned against the founder of the project. It's too late to get a refund, I just have to wait until this product comes out one day (if it ever does).
Micro Drone 4.0, what is it?
The Micro Drone 4.0 is, as its name suggests, a 4th generation drone from Extreme Flyers. Founder Vernon Kerswell put the Micro Drone 4.0 on Indiegogo for sale and raised over $1.5 million to finance this new model.
What are the particularities of this drone?
- its price: on Indiegogo it was available around 120€ at launch
- its size: it fits in the palm of your hand
- its 1080p camera with gimbal on 2 axes
- tracking function with face recognition
The drone can be controlled by an application on your smartphone and/or via a radio extension to increase the range.

I don't think the quality of the video is extraordinary but it's still very good for a device in this price range.
